The Budget Strengthening Initiative is hosted by the Overseas Development Institute (ODI), Britain’s leading think tank on international development, and a leader in research on public finance management in developing and fragile states. 

BSI was established in May 2010 and is funded until March 2015.

ODI’s Budget Strengthening Initiative in Uganda is looking for a full-time advisor support the Fiscal Decentralisation Section of the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, working as part of a growing BSI team supporting Fiscal Transfer Reform in Uganda. The purpose of the role will be to support MoFPED manage redesigned fiscal transfers and coordinate reform efforts.

ODI’s Budget Strengthening Initiative in Uganda is also looking for three part-time senior sectoral advisors support the preparation of mechanisms for performance incentives linked to transfers in the health, education and water and sanitation sectors.
